In your opinion, is it ethical to pre-emptively punish individuals for having biological traits associated with criminality? That is, would it be ok to incarcerate someone with the crime gene (assuming that it was one day proven to exist) even though they had not yet committed any crimes? Why or why not? What about someone with the actual warrior gene? Why or why not? What if the theories and/or the science itself is eventually discredited (e.g., one day we have better science that tells us that our current science is wrong)? How else should we deal with criminals who are not responsible for the biological traits associated with criminality that they inherited? Should they be held accountable for their behavior in the same way as other offenders (without those traits)? Why or why not
