Where you live and where and who you are trying to reach and impact has a huge effect on marketing and whether or not it will pass and survive in this changing world we live in. Even the massive companies including fast food with run a little differently. Take McDonalds it is one the biggest fast food companies in the world now there may be one in every country or nation and it may have the same name and logo but the food maybe a little different like certain items may not be on their menu or may just taste different. That is because geography affects what food they have access to along with the distribution channels that can transport these ingredients to the places they need to go and some may taste fresher than others because they can just got straight to the farms and get where others cannot.

Geographical location can affect distribution channels vastly. Geographical location is important to understand because it affect how you are getting inventory to customers. It has in the past couple decades been shifting to where geographical location is not as important for large companies anymore because of the Internet and online retail. It important to know the area that youre in so that you can stock the right inventory for the customers that are in your service area. You also need to be in the right geographical are so the customers and potential customers can reach your business easily.
