I need an explanation for this English question to help me study.
For this assignment you must read this reading: Susan Glaspell: Trifles (pp. 939-950). To complete the assignment.
For this discussion, I thought I’d give you a thought provoking question inspired by the play Trifles:
What do you think: are the women justified in hiding their findings in the end of the play?
Why or why not?
For this discussion board, you will write a brief paragraph explaining your position. Your post should be informed by the events of the play (try to refer to some characters or occurrences from the work), but you can incorporate broader concerns of morality, equality, and even laws and the justice system in your response. Please don’t worry about coming up with the “perfect” answers. I’m most concerned with seeing that you read the play and encouraging you to think about its meaning and impact.
Reply to two of your classmates’ posts this week, and please try to reinforce or respectfully challenge their position with a specific reason, from the play and/or from the real word and society/history. (In other words, please go beyond saying, “You’re right! Great job!” As supportive as such a response may be, it doesn’t really engage with the student’s thoughts and ideas in any meaningful way.) If possible, try to spread out the peer responses, so that a couple of students don’t receive all of the replies.
I will send you the responses that you will respond to later.
