I learned a lot from the “What I Wish I had Known Before College” videos. Even though I can’t put them to use right away this semester, hopefully it will help me in the spring.
One of the common things most people say about college is how fast it goes by. When you’re in the middle of an assignment or a test, you think, “there’s no way time could move any slower than this.” But all of a sudden we’re almost a month into school.
Not everyone has the perfect college experience. You may see posts on social media of people seemingly not having a care in the world, but that’s not what college is all about. They most likely aren’t showing you the late nights of cramming before the test or the stress of many assignments.
Life in college is a lot different than life in high school. In high school, your days are structured and your classes are relatively small. You know all your teachers and classmates and generally do the same schedule each day. In college, time management is an important skill to learn and will help you succeed.
Overall, you shouldn’t be afraid to get out there and try new things. College can be a intimating place, but these tips and tricks will benefit me in the future.
